BEHIND THE BRAND

       4 Tone was founded in 2020 by Greg Brown, also known as Bay Area rapper, G Maly. The Oakland native started marketing / consulting for art, music, other brands, & entrepreneurs through high-quality athletic-wear to commemorate his late brother, Anthony Akins II. Today our brand continues Tone’s legacy and the legacy of other souls who’ve uplifted the collective consciousness during their time here.

“My brother passed, my mother and father passed away. It wasn't the first time I dealt with the death of a loved one that was close to me. I turned it into something positive. With 4 Tone, I want to inspire people to execute their ideas…to turn their passion into profit. I’m inspired by the late Nipsey Hussle and his All Money In brand. I have to do something for myself that outlives me. I want to especially inspire people who come from limited resources to pursue their natural talents and make money from it.”

 4 Tone’s story is one of alchemy, creating art from grief as a form of self expression. The mission of our brand is to uplift and encourage our customers to look within and locate their own natural gifts in order to create financial stability and self-awareness. We design to highlight the power of remembrance, bringing honor to those who’ve transitioned past this realm here on earth and bringing light to the messages they left us with.
